VMFA studiio school school exhibition

Took pictures of the exhibition still going on at the museum school-nice to visit with my paintings-and went to see my old class buddies in the studio-

I am just about done with the last of the spring flowers and thinking about what to do next!

As promised-the assignment I did for my drawing class-"tangerine/blue plate special"-which I just framed for the foundation contest at the school-and the update on white tulips-finally doing the green-usually I can't wait to finish doing green-but after all the petals that are not really white-it is nice to do the stems and leaves-

Getting there-slowly but surely! Went to my first Bon Air Artists meeting-A local artist showed how she travels light to europe and mexico and brings her painting supplies-lovely pics of italy -

Entered my homework assignment in a Foundation Award contest at JTCC-I meant to take a picture before I handed it in-oh-well, next week I'll get it back and show you my "tangerine/blue plate special". Jonathan did a small study for his portfolio-finally willing to try pastel-plenty of them around to try! and I am plugging away on my white flowers, petal by petal-glad it is the last of the series, but I actually enjoy the unfolding of a painting bit by bit. So, the slice of tangerine is Jonathan's and the flowers are mine!
