new painting

The past few paintings from the river and I painted the children from the BotanicalGarden again -smaller painting 14 x 11 and I used my original small study for the composition. Spike had surgery so haven't been at the river the past week or so but getting back now-the night image is from this week.

My show at St. Paul's opened last night. It is nice to see your work up -especially when you can move away and see it from a distance-can't do that on my easel unless I walk down the driveway!

Last of the 3 panels finished-Now it gets to sit a while -not sure how I want to frame-one frame or three?

I won 3rd place at the Bon Air Artists Members Exhibition with my painting of the men fishing at the pond on the farm"10$ Pond"!! I had my work up at Art in the Garden-they want me to return next year and promise I will something then!!We'll see! I was going to name the bluebird painting "The frailty of life" but Jonathan suggested "Composition in Blue and Orange" -which is what it is-poor bird hit my window and fell onto the magnolia leaves-so of course I ran and got my camera because it was so beautiful-and so perfect against the orange leaves!
